If you are well experienced and you like mountain bike , walking , trekking or even hiking , at half an hour far from Villa Mirabello you can reach a spectacular mountain range (Thripti) with a peak of 1476 m (Stavromenos). Thripti Range is the fifth highest mountain range of Crete.

One dominant feature of the area of Kavousi / Ierapetra is the Gorge Ha. It is considered one of the wildest gorges in Crete, a rare morphological phenomenon of nature.

The legendary Monumental Olive Tree in Azorias is located 1km south of the village Kavousi and very close to the homonymous archaeological site of Azorias. This olive tree is a natural monument and it is considered to be one of the oldest olive tree in the world. 

Also there are perfect occasion to explore , to see , to spend quality time and to understand the beauty of Crete.
