The nearest village is Kavousi and is 4.7 km far from Villa Mirabello.

Kavousi is a historic village in the municipality of Ierapetra in the prefecture of Lasithi.

Kavousi is located 19 km northeast of Ierapetra, 26 km east of Agios Nikolaos and 42 km west of Sitia.

A combination of asphalt , slopes and moderate off-roading roads leads you to Villa Mirabello.

THOLOS BEACH is 5 minutes far from Villa Mirabello by car ( route to Tholos beach) The beach is formed at the exit of a fertile valley, surrounded by ancient olive groves and vineyards. The area has faced a very little touristic development, being ideal for a relaxing holiday. Tholos beach is pebbly and sandy on its west side and hosts a small harbor. There are several tamarisk trees near the beach where you can find shade. The water is usually light blue color, due to the underwater springs of fresh water from the mountains.

THE MONUMENTAL ANCIENT OLIVE TREE in Azorias is located 1km south of the village Kavousi and very close to the homonymous archaeological site of Azorias. The olive tree has been declared by the Association of Cretan Olive Municipalities as a natural monument because of the large size of its trunk and because of its location near three ancient settlements.route to ancient olive tree)

PSIRA ISLET is a small uninhabited island right in front of Villa Mirabello, famous for one of the greatest and richest Minoan settlements that have been found in Crete. On the island there are several small beaches, the largest of which is located north of the site is sandy. Just below the ancient settlement (to the south) there is a small bay with two small beautiful pebble beaches. All beaches of Psira are located on the south side of the island.

The Cretan climate is friendly all year round. Crete’s location means that it sits in two climate zones – the Mediterranean and the North African. Mainly, Crete enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers.

Winters are fairly mild with an average of 10-12 degrees. A Cretan summer will generally enjoy temperatures from 27-30's Celsius degrees to a maximum temperature of 40-42 degrees.

Traditionally, travelers make plans to visit Crete during the months of May through to October, which is the most popular period for tourists wanting that burst of summer sun and warmth.
